How to Pay Challan for Police Clearance Certificate?

To apply for a police clearance certificate online, the candidate has to fill out an application form and upload several documents. After submission, you have to pay the application fee for the police clearance challan. To pay police clearance challan fee follow the steps mentioned below:

Step 1: Visit PCC BD Website

First visit pcc.police.gov.bd and log in your account and if haven’t applied for Police clearance yet then you need to first fill the application form and upload required documents if you aren’t familiar with the process then you can visit our guide on how to apply for police clearance certificate.

Step 2: Click On Police Clearance Payment

To pay police clearance challan fee press the “Please Click Here to pay for your police clearance now” in the payment section. Now you will be given two options:

  • Online Payment: You will be asked to make the challan payment online.
  • By Bank: You also chose to pay by bank if you select by bank then you can print police clearance challan form and later submit the fee through Sonali Bank.

Step 3: Generate Online Police Clearance Challan Form

  • Click on e-challan: If you are paying online then click on the e-challan link.
  • e-Challan Website: Clicking on the link will take you to the “e-Challan” website.
  •  Automatic Challan Generation: A challan will be automatically generated in your name. Check the challan carefully. Scroll down.

Step 4: Online Payment Through Sonali Bank Payment Gateway

  • Search Police Clearance Payment: Open your preferred browser and search police clearance payment.
  • Click on Sonali Bank Website: Search for Sonali bank payment website billpay.sonalibank.com.bd and click on it.
  • Sonali Bank Payment Gateway: A separate popup window will appear and you will be taken to the Sonali Bank payment gateway.
  • Select Police Clearance: You will see different government payment options from these options choose police clearance.

  • Enter Required Information: After you clicked on police clearance you will be taken to the the new window where you will be asked to enter the following information:
  • Applicant Name
  • NID card number/ Application Reference Number
  • Contact Number( enter you mobile number which you also used to apply for PCC application).
  • Your email address

  • Pay Your PCC Fee: From here you can pay the fee through your Sonali Bank account.
  • Choose Payment Method: You can pay the fee through card or you can also pay the fee through mobile banking.
  • Confirm Payment: You will confirm the payment after paying via Sonali bank online banking system.
  • Choose MFS: If you don’t want to pay via Sonali Bank you can click on the mobile banking option.

Step 5: Online Payment Through MFS

  • Mobile Banking Options: From here, by selecting the mobile banking option on the right side, you can select bKash, Nagad, or any other mobile banking to pay the fee.
  • Choose From Given MFS Options: So, you need to select any of the mobile banking options and complete the payment by entering your mobile banking information.

Online Police Clearance Challan Payment Through bKash

  • Click on bKash: In this post we are going to use bKash as payment method, so click on the bKash. (Police clearance payment via Rocket is also similar).
  • Police Clearance Fee: The bKash payment system will pop up. Pay attention to the fee amount. For example, here 503.50 means 503-taka 50 paisa fee will be paid. For this, you will need to have a minimum balance of 504 taka in your bKash.

Note: Remember you will need to have a personal bKash account, click on the pay with bKash option.

  • Enter bKash Number: Enter your bKash number in the middle white box; then click on the CONFIRM box.

  • Verification Code: A Verification Code will be sent from bKash to the number you entered, enter that code here. Then click on the CONFIRM button.
  • Enter bKash Pin Code: Now enter your bKash PIN code here, then click on the CONFIRM button.

Note: Since sensitive information from your bKash account is being accessed here, you should try to complete the payment process yourself.

Step 6: PCC Challan Payment Successful

  • Payment Successful: Once the fee has been paid successfully using bKash, Nagad or Rocket, you will be taken back to the e-challan website. At e-challan website you will see notification saying that your payment was successful.

Step 7: Download Paid Police Clearance Challan

  • Download Police Clearance Challan: Once the payment is completed, an interface will appear on the next page to download the police clearance voucher.
  • Download Voucher Option: You will download your fee payment voucher by clicking on the Download Voucher option. In the next stage of downloading, this voucher will have to be uploaded as proof of fee payment from the application status.
  • Upload Challan: Once the police clearance application fee has been paid, you will need to upload paid challan.
  • Download or Print Paid Challan: You can print or download it. We will download this challan here. The downloaded challan must be uploaded by clicking on the link in box 2 of the police clearance site.

Step 8: PCC Challan Payment Through Bank

  • Print Police Clearance Challan: If you want to pay the challan by bank, you will need to print the police clearance challan form. Then take a print out.
  • Visit Sonali Bank: Go to Sonali bank or nearest branch or other Bangladeshi bank.
  • Pay Challan: Pay the challan. Take the paid receipt.
  • Create PDF File: Take pictures of the paid challan and create a pdf file using any document scanner to upload it on PCC bd website.

Step 9: Upload The PCC Challan

  • Click On Hyperlink: To upload the paid challan pdf, click on the hyperlink in the Scan and Click here section.

  • Upload Challan PDF: Upload your downloaded challan in PDF format in the challan upload box.

Note: In the challan info box on the left, here in the Bank Name box you have to select SONALI BANK. Even if you paid through bKash, you have basically paid online through Sonali Bank payment gateway.

  • Select District: Then in the District, Branch box, you will select the district and branch mentioned in your challan.
  • Invoice Date: Next, you need to write down the invoice date – the date on which you made the payment.
  • Enter Challan Number: Then you have to enter the challan number. The voucher that you downloaded after making the payment will have the challan number written on it.

  • Check Challan: Enter that police clearance challan code (number) here and click on the Check Chalan option and your name will appear.
  • Re-Upload Challan: A warning may also appear here, i.e.,” Challan Information Not Found.” If it is written, then you will have to upload this challan after 12 hours. So, you cannot upload it before twelve hours. In this case, you will have to upload the challan pdf after 12 hours or more. after 12 hours upload the police clearance challan copy.
  • Action Processed: Once the upload is successful, you will see a green Action Processed message on the top left.
  • Application Reference Number: It will also show your reference, passport number, name, and mobile. It means you have successfully uploaded the police clearance payment fee and fee receipt to the site.
  • Finish: Click on the Finish button.

Note: Please note that the paid challan PDF file size must be within 300 kilobytes. Also carefully save application reference number you would need this reference in order to check police clearance status.

Step 10: Download PCC Application Copy    

  • Online Application Copy: After you uploaded the challan, and you will get an online application copy.
  • Download and Print Application You must download and print this copy as it must be provided later when getting the certificate.
  • Download PDF File: For this, download it as a PDF file from the download option here and save it on your device.
  • Print Application: Take print out of the application.

  • Visit Finance Gov Bd Website: For challan verification visit finance gov bd website.
  • Enter Challan Date: Enter the date of payment on which date you have paid the challan.
